Det er Trevor Horn med de fancy brillerTrevor Horn er ikke særlig kendt i den brede offentlighed og grunden til at han er taget med som månedens billede er at han har haft stor indflydelse, især på bands i 80`erne, hvor han lavede nogle store og flotte produktioner til bands som Pet shop boys, Frankie goes to Hollywood og Marc Almond fra det hedengangne Soft Cell (som har været genopstået ved nogle få koncerter og har udgivet en cd i 2003).

Trevor Horn startede som medlem
og sangskriver i bandet The Buggles, sammen med Geoff Downes. De udgav nogle lp`er i
først firserne og fik et "radiohit" med "Video
killed the radio star" fra albummet "The age of plastic"
(1979).
Siden blev nummeret history, da MTV brugte videoen som de den første, da de
startede i USA august 1981. Efterfølgeren kom i 1982 og hed "Adventures in the
modern recording".
Derefter blev der stille omkring bandet
og i 1983 grundlagde Trevor Horn pladeselskabet ZTT, hvor han
startede med at udgive "Relax" med Frankie goes to
Hollywood, som blev en kæmpesucces. Selskabet udgav også musik
med YES, som han senere i 1980 var kortvarigt
medlem af. I 1984 indgik Trevor Horn i bandet Art of Noise
- "The seduction of Claude Debussy" kan anbefales - og har siden produceret et hav af kendte navne
som Marc Almond, Mike Oldfield, Paul Mccartney, Grace Jones,
Propaganda ("A secret wish":1985) og senest SEAL.
Ligeledes er der planer om at reorganisere Art of Noise.
Trevor Horn har produceret Frankie Goes To Hollyvood med deres succesalbum "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" (1984) men havde ikke noget at gøre med efterfølgeren Liverpool (1986), bortset fra nummeret "Rage hard", der kan anbefales. Cd`en fik da også en behersket succes.
Derefter producerede han "Introspective" (1988) for Pet shop boys, som er en meget flot produktion, hvis man kan lide den bankende disco stil. Det blev også til en b-side for PSB, "The sound of the atom splitting", som udkom på "Alternative"(1995) cd`en.
Han har ligeledes produceret for Marc Almond med albummet "Tenement symphony" (1991) og samme år produceret nummeret "Downtown train" (skrevet af Tom Waits), fra Rod Stewart`s album "Vagabound heart" (1991) og det meste fra cd`en "Lead vocalist"(1993) også med Rod Stewart, hvor især "Tom Traubert`s blues" er fantastisk. Også Simple minds producerede han "Street figthings years", med supernummeret "Belfast child". De russiske t.A.T.u har han også produceret. arity Dklsædlksædlfk

‘Video Killed The Radio Star’, he then joined Yes, first as band member,
then Producer. His production career has continued with artists such as Frankie
Goes to Hollywood, ABC, Godley & Creme, Paul McCartney, Seal, Simple Minds,
ewart, Tatu and the list goes on and on. He is the only producer to ever have
simultaneous number one records in both the UK and the USA with two different
acts, Owner of a Lonely Heart with Yes and Relax with FGTH. His musical genius
has created countless worldwide hits and in the process, played a hugely
influential role in shaping many artists careers.
The Wembley concert, ‘Produced by Trevor Horn, a concert for The Prince’s
Trust’, will bring together many of the musicians who have worked with Trevor
and who now take this opportunity to pay tribute to his talent. The concert for
The Prince’s Trust aims to raise a substantial sum for the youth charity.

The star-studded concert, celebrating Trevor Horn’s 25 years as one of the world’s most successful music producers, takes place on Thursday 11 November at Wembley Arena.
